New Delhi: The number of coronavirus cases in India has crossed the 5 lakh-mark while the death toll has reached 15,685, according to the data available at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. According to a data by the Union Health Ministry, 2,99,866 coronavirus cases were recorded from June 1 and June 26. However, the recovery rate is has also improved to 58.24 per cent, the Health Ministry noted.
Delhi and Maharashtra continues to be the two worst-hit states in the country with more than 77,000 and 1.52 lakh coronavirus cases respectively. Looking at the situation, the Home Ministry has said that it will undertake a serological survey to do a comprehensive analysis of COVID-19 and prepare a broad strategy to combat the COVID-19 crisis in Delhi.
